We are located in historic North Kohala, in the quaint plantation village of Hāwī (pronounced “ha-vee”).
Traveling from Kona:
Travel distance from Kona International Airport to Hāwī is approximately 52 miles. Travel North on Highway 19 (Queen Ka‘ahumanu Hwy) to Highway 270. Turn left towards Kawaihae/Hawi. Continue north approximately 21 miles to the town of Hawi. At the gas station in Hāwī, turn right onto Highway 250 (Hāwī Road). FLUMIN’ KOHALA & KOHALA UTV ADVENTURE is located at the far end of the historic yellow Kohala Sugar Co. building on the left.
Traveling from Hilo:
Travel distance from Hilo International Airport to Hāwī is approximately 80 miles. Travel north out of Hilo on Highway 19. Continue into the town of Waimea and take a right at the intersection at the Chevron gas station. Continue another 2 miles until you reach the junction with Highway 250 (Kohala Mountain Road). Take the right at the junction and follow Highway 250 to Hāwī. In approximately 17 miles you will turn left onto Hāwī Road (still part of Highway 250) and drive 1.5 miles down the hill. FLUMIN’ KOHALA & KOHALA UTV ADVENTURE is located at the far end of the historic yellow Kohala Sugar Company building on the right.
Note that Highway 250 over the upper mountain road is a beautiful scenic route to take from Hilo or Waimea, however, the road is narrow and winding.
Traveling from Waikoloa Resort area:
Travel distance from the Waikoloa resort area to Hawi is approximately 30 miles. Travel North on Highway 19 (Queen Ka‘ahumanu Hwy) to Highway 270. Turn left towards Kawaihae/Hawi. Continue north approximately 21 miles to the town of Hawi. At the gas station in Hāwī, turn right onto Highway 250 (Hāwī Road).
